MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Manitoba Hardy
The MBNLA Board of Directors and our Executive Director has been working diligently since the COVID reality hit our province collecting information that will help our members by providing resources and a unified message to our government. Working with CNLA and other horticultural groups we have compiled a significant amount of information that is constantly being updated. We have been in contact with our provincial government to seek some clarity on how mandated closures could impact our industry.
We understand that these are challenging times. As it warms up and we approach our revenue-generating season, our member companies have had to make decisions that impact their businesses by trying to balance their safety, and the safety of their employees, their customers and the public while trying to maintain income and having our products and services ready for the sales season. Whatever your strategy has been so far, please ensure that the safety of those around you is prioritized, and that our healthy, beneficial industry image would not be compromised.
There is no way to plan or prepare for this unprecedented event, the conditions change daily. MBNLA can be your resource to stay positive, stay informed, and stay safe. Visit this MBNLA COVID-19 Resource Page frequently for the latest information.
With earnest sincerity,
Guy Dowhy, President Manitoba Nursery Landscape Association.
